Let Them Eat Cake!

£49.00

Let Them Eat Cake! bouquet showcases the pastel shades of the French Pâtissier’s sugary pastry offerings and gives a feathered nod to the lady of cake herself, the last queen of France, Marie Antoinette.  This beautiful bouquet consists of sweet pink roses, sunshine yellow snapdragons and creamy hydrangeas.    Not so much naughty, but definitely nice!

Flowertology:  The Heartless Hydrangea

The blousy form of the hydrangea, with its abundance of pretty little petals and round structure, is always considered a bit of a showstopper.  Quintessentially English and nicknamed the Sloane Ranger, it truly is made in Chelsea!

But don’t be fooled by the beauty of this big bloom, as the hydrangea represents boastfulness and heartlessness.  Why? Because despite their curvaceous charm, they produce very few seeds and as such are regarded as all show and no substance.   But who can resist the lure of this English garden classic?  We know we can’t.
